League Champs and Coach of the Week!!

Brad had a big week (along with being sick). Tuesday afternoon KUSI "Pig Prepskin Report" interviewed him at practice for being Coach of the Week. Wednesday afternoon the football lights were installed, and Friday night they played Borrego Springs and won 42 - 6 becoming League Champions for the first time! (This being only their third year of having football at Calvin Christian.) We had a great crowd and there was lots of excitement with the new lights, a pep band, tri-tip sandwiches, two Chargers cheerleaders and player Legedu Naanee there to give Calvin a check for the grant we received last year and to give Brad a check for being the Coach of the Week!! Enjoy the pictures from last weeks game against Foothills and Fridays game versus Borrego Springs.

Cancun & 4th of July

So this is my first attempt at a blog. Brad has always given me a hard time about him being the only male that does the blogs...we'll see how this one goes. We had a great time with Brad's family in Cancun getting much needed sun, rest, relaxation, and family time. We celebrated our 2nd anniversary on the 29th. (I can't believe that it has been two years already but I also can't believe how much we have done in two years as well. We are truly blessed and I am so thankful Brad and our life here in California. ) We only have one shot of our anniversary day since we were tired after our trip and Brad was sick. :( On the 4th of July Brad and I and our friend Luke went to the San Diego Zoo and then headed downtown for some fireworks at Seaport Village. We were able to see five different firework shows from our rocky seats on the bay.

New Coach and Old

Last Saturday I was hired as the new head football coach of Calvin Christian. I am super excited and nervous about it, but I can't wait to get started. This will be our 3rd year overall. We are getting lights this summer and the community is really excited. I love to coach and be involved with the players. I am truly blessed to be 24 and the head coach of 2 sports.

Catch Up Time

Well as you can see we have not been on here in a long time...sorry I guess we are really boring or super busy. I will say both. I have been coaching the girls and our regular season in winding down. We have 3 games left and then its on to playoffs. We are 14-6 right now (actually the same record we had last year at this point). So I have been busy with that and school and all the good stuff. Jayne helps me by taking the book every game so that is why there are no pictures ...sorry we will try to get some.

Jayne is working and helping brother Kurt by typing documenta
ries. This has been her evenings and early mornings as of late. She is becoming quite the typist. Soccer starts for her, but was canceled this week due to crazy California winters, which mean some rain:)

It has been really nice here as of late. 75-80. We had a great but quick visit from mom and dad, which consisted of fly in on thursday night, watch 2 games (unfortunately both loses) on friday and saturday a then back off to Denver on sunday. It was great to have them here even if it was for a little bit. We love having people out here, and it will soon start up again with lots of visitors, so if you are wanting a break from the cold, feel free to get in touch with us. although it has gotten down to 60 a couple of times...

Ps. we did not buy the house. Just in case you were wondering
