I failed to mention in the last blog one of the biggest things that happened in October. All of the sudden Cohen just started to eat food....all kinds of food. We haven't had a 3rd stage baby food jar of meat in a couple of weeks! He is still a little fussy about the fruits (and vegetables) so we still eat the baby food once in a while but he is doing so well.

October Update and Halloween

It's hard to believe that it's already November...October just flew by! It was a good month, but I don't think we have too much to report. At the beginning of the month Cohen had some bad allergies which caused one of his eyes to almost completely close. We've continued to work on the potty training and celebrated Cohen's first time going #2 in the potty! (Big moment as a parent:) We celebrated the Broncos first win with Tebow and then a watched a very bad loss to the Lions. We carved pumpkins with the Syers family and celebrated Halloween at Opa and Oma's house with all of the cousins. One piece of exciting news...my brother got engaged and is getting married in a couple of weeks! It's been fun watching them plan the wedding and help in any way that I can. We can't wait to celebrate with them in a couple of weeks!

September Happenings
It's definitely time for an update again. Let's see...since I last posted I turned another year older, Brad's football team is 5-0 (I'll try and get some pictures soon), Cohen is over 22 lbs., we went to the Arapahoe Homecoming parade, we visited Opa at his work when they were hosting a wine stomp, and Cohen peed in the potty! (I know it was probably a one time thing but we still celebrated and made a BIG deal about it!)

Celebrating my birthday at Mom and Dad Jansen's.

My declicious Reese's Ice Cream cake! Mmmm...

Cohen loved the cake as much as mommy I think.

He loves to climb in the front seat and "drive"...

and likes to pretend that he's changing the channel.

15 Months
As you can see we are back in the swing of things, busy as ever and I haven't posted in a month! Here's a little update on Cohen. We went to the doctor for his 15 month checkup and he was doing well. The only thing she said is to cut back on the milk...he loves his milkies!! He is climbing all over the place, jabbering non-stop, loves music and dancing, is crazy about sports, and is saying about 8 words. Here's his stats:

Weight: 21 lbs. 7 oz. (20%)
Height: 32 1/2 (90%)
HC: 18 1/2 (50%)
Here are some updated pictures of him.

To An Amazing Summer & Daddy
It's official...our summer is really over. Brad is back into football and meetings with school starting next week already. So life will begin to get crazy again, but before all that starts I wanted to post about our wonderful summer. After last summer and school year being so busy and unrestful this summer was a huge blessing. Our family got to spend so much time together. It was good for us to be able to rest, have life slow down a little bit, and really just enjoy each other. I am so very thankful for Cohen and Brad. Cohen is such a happy, busy, friendly boy and rarely seems like my little baby anymore. He climbs all over, waves at every car/person that goes by our house, loves trying to keep up with his cousins and gets super excited when he's getting a food he likes or his milkies. Cohen loved playing with daddy, "helping" him water outside, swimming with daddy and so much more. I know that I am very blessed to have a husband that loves us both, wants to be around, and is actively involved in raising Cohen. Brad, you are amazing not only with us, but with everyone you come in contact with. You have such a generous heart, are a hard worker, and put everything into what you do whether that being teaching, coaching or being a dad. I know that you have already touched many kids lives through both your teaching and coaching and I know that you will touch many more lives. Thank you, babe, for an amazing summer!
Now, on to the video. It is quite long because it is the second half of our summer. We went swimming a lot, went to a Rockies game, had our friend Luke come in town from CA and went to Coors Brewery (which I don't have any pictures of) and the Broncos training camp, had our friends the Lapkas stay with us two nights before finishing their drive home to CA, and spent some time last week in Breckenridge. Hope you enjoy our loooong video. :)

Michigan Trip #2
Here is our second delayed post from our Michigan trip that we took for two weeks at the end of June. We had such a good time. We had time to hang out with friends at the beginning and end of our trip and spent a week with my entire family at a cottage by Lake Michigan in the middle of our trip. The weather wasn't perfect but we still had a great time playing games (1st Schemper Family Olympics), eating great food (the kids took turns cooking dinner each night), taking walks to the beach, and just hanging out together. It's not very often that we all get together so it was a treat. We took a LOT of pictures....here's just some of my favorites.
