10 months!

Time has flown by. We can't believe that Cohen is 10 months already....crazy he is so fun and we are so lucky to have him in our lives! Cohen is standing as much as possible, walking along furniture very well but we still have a ways to go on the whole balance thing. I've been feeling like we have a puppy in the house lately as I have to watch what Cohen is chewing on after I found teeth marks on our entertainment center...you would think wood wouldn't taste that good.... Brad and I have both said a number of times that we are so ready for spring/summer since Cohen has been sick pretty much the entire winter. Every time we think he's finally getting better he gets something else. This past week Cohen and I came down a nasty cold/flu bug. We took Cohen in for his 9 month checkup last week Thursday, the 24th, so pretty much 10 months. His doctor said he looks great and is right on track, she referred to him as a maniac. He finally got his bottom two teeth and his doctor said that she could see four more coming in up top. Again we were reminded by his "stats" that he is a long, skinny kid: Height: 2' 5.5" (77%) Weight: 19 lbs. (17%) Head: 17.95" (50%)
I tried to snap some 10 month pictures of him but it's a little harder than it used to be. The 10 month sticker wouldn't show threw the shirt he was wearing and I couldn't set it by him because he just wanted to hold it and crinkle it. I think I got one mediocre picture. And then after that I tried to get some more pictures but he just wanted to have something in his mouth the whole time. :)

Brad was on spring break last week and he said the one thing he wanted to do was take Cohen swimming. We did that right away on Monday with Auntie Cara, Payton, Brady and Landon....after that we had nothing to look forward to. :) We had a great time and Cohen loved the water. He even did well with daddy dunking him (see the video below). We had such a great week with daddy home just hanging out and getting projects done around the house. It was very much needed after he had just finished up with basketball the week before and hadn't had a break since the start of school. I think it made us all excited for summer.

....Now it's 2am and I might as well finish the blog. I waited for Brad to get home and then Cohen woke up and is wide awake playing downstairs with me. I have to say this is the first time this has happened which I'm thankful for. Anyways....here are some new pictures.

These are the best I could do for 10 month pictures....not very good.

I finally have two teeth!

Cohen in his snazzy swim diaper! (Thanks Lapkas!)
You can see just how skinny the boy is!

All the kiddos in the water.
Landon being cute!
Brady sitting on the fountains.

Here are some clips of Cohen "dancing" by his toy, getting dunked in the water for the first time, and learning his animals and sounds and family on daddy's ipad. (I didn't edit the videos so they might get a little long...)

9 months = lots o fun!

9 months, WOW! Time is just flying by and Cohen just keeps getting bigger. :) Besides being sick the last month and a half with ear infections, colds and pinkeye and being a little whinny, he is a fun, easy-going kid. He is starting to get into everything! He is crawling all over, standing every chance he gets, starting to walk along objects and has mastered the stairs (except we do need to work on going DOWN the stairs). He loves to eat and has mastered eating his puffs and yogurt melts. We recently started the 3rd stage of foods! I think he has a little of his dad's gag-reflexes. Anytime something has a weird or different texture he'll just throw it all up. And as of this week he FINALLY is getting his two bottom teeth in!! Soon we'll be able to give him even more fun foods! Cohen loves to make all kinds of fun sounds, likes to dance to music, loves tick-toks, always has to point out the Gerber baby on his food and gets super excited for bath time with daddy. He is still chewing on anything and everything he can gets his hands on. His nap times are not consistent (I think being sick just totally threw him off), but these last couple of days he has been sleeping like a champ! Last week I went to Chicago for work and this was my first time away from him. I was a wreck leading up to the trip, but of course he did just great with his daddy, and opa and oma (thank you guys, I appreciated it so, so much!) I think it was good for both Cohen and I.

Brad just finished up another season of basketball last night. The Arapahoe Warriors made it all the way to the Semi-Finals. They finished up 25-2. It was a good season. A little different being at a 5A school, watching boys basketball (I didn't cry with and hug any of the guys at the end of the season:) and having a baby at every game (it's a little change from doing the books and knowing everything that's going on.:) But now Cohen and I are excited to have daddy around a little more and I think Brad is ready too since this is his first time with no sport since we moved here.

Here are some pictures from our last month, ENJOY!

8 Months!

It's crazy to believe that Cohen is already 8 months~
He is very active, stubborn (he gets that from his mom) happy, and easy going and loves to eat.... all but beans and peas! From going to all my games, he will know a gym very well, to completing his PT for his neck he is doing great! It is so fun to see him grow and to be able to have him interact with us more and more each day!

Cohen's first owwy (ask mommy) many more to come I'm sure....the physical therapist said to Jayne
"this kid is not afraid of anything"

he loves to be on his feet and "Walk"

So ready for the ROCKIES! 2 weeks until pitchers and catchers....or maybe I am....

Thinks he is pretty big stuff now!

Warriors Game with Oma

His first "J's"

"Playing" or getting the ball taken away from him by Heator bombs....they will do plenty of this in the years to come!
